Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated Junior Estimator to join MSB Estimating LLC. The ideal candidate will assist with construction cost estimating, quantity takeoffs, and bid preparation while developing practical estimating skills across different project types.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing detailed construction cost estimates.
- Perform quantity and material takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
- Review architectural, structural, and MEP plans.
- Assist senior estimators with bid preparation and project pricing.
- Research material and labor costs when required.
- Organize estimating data and project documentation.
- Review takeoffs and estimates for accuracy and completeness.
- Meet project deadlines and maintain quality standards.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of construction estimating and takeoffs.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
- Knowledge of construction materials and building methods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous estimating experience or relevant construction education is preferred.
